Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday vowed to ensure voting in all embassies and diplomatic missions for citizens living abroad for the upcoming parliamentary elections in October.

All immigrants who express their desire to vote will have the opportunity to do so, all the rest is speculation”, Kobakhidze noted in his comments to the media and acknowledged the existing mobility issues for the citizens abroad, stressing the polling stations would be arranged wherever possible.

He claimed that current data showed the ruling Georgian Dream party would secure a constitutional majority in the Parliament in the October elections. The number of supporters of the biggest opposition party United National Movement has fallen to 15 percent, he pointed out, adding that other parties would probably not be able to overcome the barrier.
